Hence two dandies 2.0 have been invited: Julio Dolbeth (Angola, 1973) y Aitor Saraiba (Talavera de la Reina, Toledo, 1983), among fifteen other artists who have been exposing their work in both galleries during the last few years. All of them will try to go deep in the meaning of this concept when we use it nowadays. It is indeed a severe exercise of contradictions, mirrors and mirages: creating a collective work of art, like this exhibition, right from the idea of impassionated individuality. Or just trying to find the meaning of it in these times we live in: in the crowd we find Dandi, willing to resist within this society and showing his sophisticated apathy, as a denial or separation from normality, hiding behind it, shooting oneself down. It tries to show what's happening in the contemporary editorial creation on the level of independent publications, how this area relates to the artistic production and social, cultural and current political environment. Around 400 international publications have been gathered from most established magazines in the market until handmade zines and a selection of experimental magazines. The project also includes musical activities and workshops related to self-publishing. Collaborators in opening activities: 'Autoplacer Sindicalistas' and 'Abigail y la cosa del pantano'.
